Czech specialists have developed a new application utilizing artificial intelligence to identify early indicators of dementia. The computer or tablet-based test takes approximately ten minutes to complete. Experts note that individuals often dismiss memory problems as a natural part of aging, failing to recognize potential early symptoms of dementia. It is estimated that over 100,000 people in the Czech Republic currently live with dementia, a number projected to increase. The application is intended as a screening tool; a positive result should be followed by a comprehensive medical evaluation with a general practitioner, geriatrician, or neurologist. Alzheimer's disease is the most common form of dementia.
