Abu Dhabi has been selected to host the 11th Global Assembly of the Religions for Peace organization in 2027. This marks the first time the international event will be held in the Gulf region. The decision followed the approval of Abu Dhabi’s bid during meetings of the Religions for Peace International Council in Mauritius. This selection underscores the United Arab Emirates’ growing international role in fostering interfaith dialogue and cultural understanding. The event is expected to be the largest interfaith gathering of its kind. It reflects a commitment to promoting peaceful coexistence and collaboration between different religious communities. The announcement was made by the organization, highlighting Abu Dhabi’s suitability as a host city.
