Progress on the A3 Transylvania Highway is advancing, with completion of the Topa Mică and Nădășelu viaducts – totaling 3.2 kilometers – paving the way for the opening of a 42.8-kilometer segment between Nădășelu and Poarta Sălajului. This section connects Cluj and Sălaj counties. As of August 11th, construction is over 76% complete, according to CNAIR director Cristian Pistol, who inspected the ongoing work. Currently, 48 girders remain to be installed on the viaducts. If work proceeds as planned, the entire segment could be open to traffic later this year. This represents a significant step forward in improving transportation infrastructure in the Transylvania region. The completed section will enhance connectivity and reduce travel times for commuters and freight transport.
