A 32-year-old man from Hohenzell has tragically passed away in Upper Austria. The victim, who served as a firefighter, suffered a fatal reaction after being stung by a hornet. It was reported that the man had a known allergy to both wasp and hornet stings. Although he possessed an Epi-Pen for emergencies, the device was not within reach at the time of the incident. Emergency medical services arrived on the scene to provide assistance. Despite the efforts of the emergency doctor, the man could not be saved. The incident highlights the critical importance of immediate medication access for severe allergies.
