Security forces in Pakistan killed 11 terrorists during intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, according to state media reports on Friday. Five terrorists identified as belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij were killed in South Waziristan district, KP, as part of operations under the Azm-i-Istehkam vision. Authorities use “Fitna al-Khawarij” to refer to the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). In a separate operation, six more terrorists linked to Fitna al Hindustan – designated to implicate alleged Indian involvement – were killed in the Gorander and Mashkel areas of Balochistan during Operation Raddul Fitna 3. The terrorists reportedly opened fire on a security checkpost in Mashkel before being killed by responding security forces. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from both locations, indicating significant disruption to terrorist activities. Security sources have affirmed a commitment to eliminating terrorism and establishing lasting peace throughout Pakistan under the Azm-i-Istehkam vision.
