An audio recording has surfaced alleging that Romij Uddin Londoni, the convener of the মেঘনা Upazila unit of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in কুমিল্লা, took approximately 100,000 Bangladeshi Taka and three goats from a party member in exchange for promising a party position. The accusation surfaced as a viral audio conversation on Facebook. মোসলেম, a member of the ভাওরখোলা Union BNP, formally filed a written complaint with বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা আবুল হাশেম, the convener of the কুমিল্লা North District BNP, on Monday, October 19th. The audio purportedly details Londoni’s solicitation of the money and livestock. This incident has raised concerns about internal corruption within the BNP in কুমিল্লা. Authorities are expected to investigate the allegations based on the submitted complaint and the circulating audio evidence. The authenticity of the audio is yet to be independently verified.
