The Zanzibar Ministry of Health and the World Bank are evaluating the progress of health projects initiated through their ongoing cooperation. Discussions centered on the implementation of previously funded initiatives and potential avenues for future collaboration. A key focus is securing an additional US$100 million in funding to address priority healthcare needs in Zanzibar. These funds would be allocated to crucial projects, including the construction of a new Mother and Child Hospital in Kilimani. Strengthening existing healthcare infrastructure is also a priority for the proposed funding. This assessment aims to ensure effective resource allocation and sustained improvements in healthcare services across the Isles. The collaboration signals a continued commitment to enhancing public health in Zanzibar.
