A youth leader of the Bangladesh Juba Dal, Shaker Hossain (38), was shot dead inside a bus counter at the central bus terminal in Magura early Wednesday morning. The incident occurred at the counter of Royal Express transport company. Hossain, a joint convener of Magura Pouro Juba Dal, was working as a counter master at the time of the shooting. Witnesses report that two individuals arrived on a motorcycle around 5:00 AM and carried out the attack. Shaker Hossain was the son of Kutubuddin from the Parnanduali village of Magura town. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the killing, which is raising concerns about political violence in the area.
