Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Monday that connectivity to SpaceX’s Starlink/Starshield satellite network remains limited “in several sectors of the front.” He specifically noted issues with equipment ceasing to function at speeds between 130 and 161 km/h. This limitation is hindering Ukraine's logistical operations along the front lines, and restricting the use of various drone types. Zelensky highlighted that the connectivity problems negatively impact the interception of fast-moving Russian drones, some of which can reach speeds of 600 km/h. The disruptions pose a significant challenge to Ukraine’s defense efforts. These issues are concentrated “in several sectors of the front” within Ukraine, impacting battlefield operations.
