President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Monday that speed restrictions on the US-provided Starshield satellite system are impeding Ukrainian forces’ capacity to effectively coordinate drone strikes against Russian forces. Frontline units have reported the Starshield equipment ceases operation at speeds between 130-160 kilometers per hour across various sectors of the front. This limitation is creating challenges for rapid response and coordination. In a separate development, a Ukrainian army brigade successfully rescued a wounded soldier from the front line utilizing an aerial drone in what they claim is a first-of-its-kind evacuation. Video footage released by the brigade showcased the drone lowering to the ground, with a soldier securing himself to a winch for extraction. FRANCE 24’s Gulliver Cragg is reporting from Ukraine on these developments.
