British police have rearrested two men in relation to an incident at Royal Air Force (RAF) Fairford air base in late September. The men are suspected of aiding Iranian intelligence services. A 24-year-old British national, initially arrested at the air base on September 27th, and a 25-year-old British-Iranian man, apprehended in London on October 1st, are both in custody after previously being released under investigation. Five individuals were initially arrested near the base in Gloucestershire following concerns of a planned terrorist attack, and subsequently released with conditions. The RAF Fairford base is utilized by the United States military in operations related to Iran and hosts American personnel. Following the incident, the US removed twelve bombers from the base due to a perceived threat originating from Iran, a claim denied by the Iranian government.
