Four people have died as a result of the severe storm, known as a “dana,” which has caused widespread flooding in Valencia and Alicante, Spain. The regional government of Valencia has reduced confinement orders from 145 municipalities to just eight, located in the southern Valencia coastline and the northern part of Alicante. Emergency services are actively conducting rescues using boats and helicopters to reach those stranded by the floodwaters. The storm has brought torrential rainfall and significant disruption to the region. Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation and provide assistance to affected areas. The focus remains on ensuring public safety and supporting those impacted by the devastating weather. Residents in the remaining confined areas are urged to stay indoors and follow official guidance.
