The South Tangerang City Government (Pemkot Tangsel) will begin reconstruction of the Merpati Raya Bridge in Sawah Baru Village, Ciputat District, starting in October and concluding in December 2026. As a result of the construction, a section of Merpati Raya Road, specifically the segment near the Shell Bintaro Hill Gas Station, will be closed to traffic from Thursday, October 22, 2026, until the project's completion. This closure is necessary to facilitate the bridge reconstruction work safely and efficiently. The project aims to improve the infrastructure of South Tangerang City. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes during the closure period. The city government has not yet released details regarding detour routes. The reconstruction is expected to cause traffic disruptions in the area.
