Rubina Akter, 36, was traveling with her husband and two children by bus to her sister’s home for the Puja holiday in Bangladesh. The bus, operated by RP Paribahan, was involved in a head-on collision with a sand-laden truck before reaching its destination. Rubina’s husband and daughter tragically died at the scene of the accident. Though Rubina survived, her 10-year-old son, Labib, remains critically injured. Currently, Rubina is hospitalized and unaware of the deaths of her husband and daughter, reportedly suffering greatly in her hospital bed. The incident has resulted in immense grief for the family and raised concerns regarding road safety in Bangladesh. Further details are pending investigation.
