Ten personal assistants in Norway will go on strike starting Tuesday at 10:00 AM, according to the Norwegian Union of Municipal and General Employees (Fagforbundet). The strike action follows unsuccessful mediation between the union and NHO Geneo. The affected assistants are employed by Human Care in Ullensaker, Horten, Sande, Høvik, Bærum, Kleppe, Drammen, Kongsberg, and Tverlandet. The core of the dispute centers around pay increases for inconvenient working hours. Union Deputy Leader Line Tollefsen stated they had to strike two years ago to achieve industry-standard wages and regrettably must do so again. She described the situation as provocative, highlighting the continued need to fight for fair compensation.
