People with albinism in Mozambique are benefiting from specialized and free dermatological care through the 7th Dermatological Expedition. The campaign is running from May 5th to 28th across provincial hospitals in Tete, Inhambane, and Xai-Xai, as well as the General Hospital of Beira, and central hospitals in Nampula and Maputo. This initiative is being led by the International Laboratory of Photoprotection and Dermatology. The expedition aims to provide crucial medical attention to individuals with albinism, who are particularly vulnerable to skin cancer and other dermatological conditions. The program underscores efforts to improve healthcare access for this underserved population within Mozambique. This outreach specifically addresses the unique dermatological needs of those living with albinism in these regions. The effort highlights a commitment to providing equitable healthcare across the country.
