Police in Oulu, Finland investigated reports of individuals dressed in costumes resembling the "Cat in the Hat" character after numerous accounts of frightened children and young people over the past weekend in the Oulu region. Inspector Irmeli Korhonen stated that police checked reported sighting locations based on received notifications. Despite the investigations, authorities have found no evidence confirming the existence of a person dressed as a cat. Police have also not located any eyewitnesses who have directly observed the costumed figure. The reports sparked concern, but currently, the "Cat in the Hat" phenomenon in Oulu remains unsubstantiated. The investigation is ongoing, but currently, the police have no leads.
