Chinese automotive brand iCAUR, a subsidiary of Chery, is planning to enter the Việt Nam market in late 2026. The company intends to launch with two SUV models, the V23 and the V27. One of the vehicles will be a fully electric model, offering a zero-emission option for consumers. The second model will feature a hybrid powertrain, combining an internal combustion engine with an electric generator for extended range. This dual-model strategy aims to cater to a wider range of consumer preferences in Việt Nam. iCAUR’s entry signals growing competition within the Vietnamese automotive sector, and increasing availability of electric and hybrid vehicles. The move reflects Chery’s broader international expansion strategy.
