The commander of the 3rd Army Corps, Andrii Biletskyi, explained the origins of the name for the offensive operation conducted near Lyman. The operation was dubbed “Vivaldi” due to initial plans for four distinct stages, mirroring the four seasons concept often associated with the composer Antonio Vivaldi. Biletskyi revealed the idea for the codename originated with two officers within the corps. Tragically, one of the officers who conceived the name was killed in action. The other officer involved sustained serious injuries during the fighting around Lyman. This reveals a personal connection to the operation's planning and execution, highlighting the sacrifices made by Ukrainian military personnel. The successful offensive near Lyman remains a key point in the ongoing conflict.
