Indonesia’s National Nutrition Agency (BGN) is accelerating the activation of new Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPGs), commonly known as “MBG kitchens,” in remote regions across the country. This initiative aims to address stunting and improve nutritional intake in underserved communities. The BGN is prioritizing areas with high rates of malnutrition and limited access to nutritious food. These MBG kitchens will provide locally sourced, nutrient-rich meals, contributing to improved health outcomes for vulnerable populations. The program focuses on empowering local communities and fostering sustainable nutrition solutions. The acceleration of SPPG activations marks a significant step in Indonesia’s national strategy to combat stunting and malnutrition. Further expansion is planned to reach even more remote areas of Indonesia.
