The Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPC) has issued a stern warning to individuals involved in the production and distribution of counterfeit versions of Ghana’s laws and altered official gazetted documents, threatening them with arrest and prosecution. This action follows the discovery of unauthorized publications exploiting the GPC’s limited physical distribution network throughout Ghana. To combat this issue and enhance public trust, the GPC is launching new digital platforms. These platforms will provide improved access to official publications and crucially, allow citizens to verify the authenticity of legal documents. GPC Managing Director, Dan Kwaku Sibuahite, emphasized the importance of safeguarding the integrity of Ghana’s legal framework. The move aims to curb misinformation and ensure reliable access to accurate legal information for all citizens of Ghana.
