A joint investigation by *De Groene Amsterdammer* and Investico revealed that 68 members of the *Tweede Kamer* (Dutch Parliament) have used text generated by AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude over the past year. Researchers analyzed the speeches of all 150 parliamentarians using Pangram, a program designed to detect AI-written content, focusing on opening remarks. While the actual number may be higher, only speeches with over 50% AI-generated content were included in the study. Former member Lahlah of Pro, now a council member in Amsterdam, tops the list, followed by representatives from the PVV, D66, and VVD parties. The use of chatbots appears widespread across the *Tweede Kamer*, although far-right factions are overrepresented, while the SP, Party for the Animals, and Volt have not utilized AI. One former member admitted to using AI to articulate citizens’ stories more concisely during debates.
