Over 300 swimmers are expected to compete in 30 swimming events at the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Senegal. These games will be the first Youth Olympics held in Africa, taking place from October 31st to November 13th. Swimming competitions will occur at the Complexe Tour de l’Œuf in Point E between November 1st and November 6th, consisting of morning heats and afternoon finals. Senegal has declared its readiness to host the competitions following technical inspections of venues like the Dakar Olympic swimming pool. National Olympic Committees are limited to two athletes per gender in swimming, with Senegal as the host nation receiving special consideration. Relay races have been removed from the program, but Senegal will be represented by six swimmers: Seyni Faguèy Ndiaye, Sokhna Faty Ndiaye, Marta Alodia Biagini, Matteo Biagini, Nael Lamine Voisin, and Mouhamadou Rassoul Lèye. Previous Youth Olympic Games have showcased rising stars like Kaylee McKeown, Thomas Ceccon, and Kristóf Milák who later went on to Olympic success.
