Petr Štefan has visited Afghanistan six times, initially as a foreign correspondent and later with the humanitarian organization Člověk v tísni (People in Need). During his missions, he delivers aid to communities facing severe existential challenges. He particularly focuses on the deteriorating situation for women in Afghanistan following the Taliban's takeover, as they progressively lose their rights, including access to education. Štefan believes the public’s perception of Afghanistan is often distorted and oversimplified. He discusses these issues and provides further insight in a new episode of *Slepá mapa* (Blind Map). His work sheds light on the realities faced by Afghans amidst ongoing hardship. He continues to deliver much-needed assistance to vulnerable populations within Afghanistan.
