A new IBRiS poll for Polsat News indicates the Civic Coalition (Koalicja Obywatelska) is currently leading in Poland with the support of nearly 28 percent of respondents. Donald Tusk’s party holds a clear advantage over the second-place Law and Justice (Prawo i Sprawiedliwości) and the third-place Confederation (Konfederacja), both of which are polling in the mid-teens. Despite this lead, the Civic Coalition would face difficulties in forming a majority coalition government. The poll suggests a shifting political landscape in Poland, with gains for right-wing parties. This outcome indicates a potentially fragmented parliament and complex negotiations to establish a governing majority following the election. The results highlight the challenges facing the Civic Coalition in translating popular support into a functional government.
