China is set to enter a competitive market currently led by the US and Japan with its newly developed 200-kilovolt transmission electron microscope. Manufactured by CIQTEK in Hefei, the microscope boasts an information resolution reaching 0.1 nanometres, rivaling existing high-performing models. It achieves a point resolution of 0.25nm, coupled with the 0.1nm information limit. This advancement signals a significant step for China's burgeoning advanced electron microscopy industry. The commercialisation of this technology reduces reliance on foreign manufacturers and strengthens China’s position in advanced materials research. The development showcases the country’s increasing capabilities in high-tech manufacturing and scientific instrumentation. This new microscope from Hefei promises to be a strong competitor in the field.
