The Chinese Embassy in Thailand has issued a safety advisory warning its citizens about a growing number of reported cases involving missing individuals after entering Thailand. These individuals are allegedly being held against their will, having been lured under false pretenses. Criminal groups are reportedly using appealing offers of high-paying jobs, business trips, investment opportunities, and entertainment invitations to attract victims. The embassy specifically cautioned that some of these individuals are then forced towards the Thai-Myanmar border. This warning highlights increasing concerns regarding human trafficking and forced labor targeting Chinese nationals. Citizens are urged to exercise extreme caution and verify the legitimacy of any opportunities presented to them while in Thailand. The advisory was originally reported by Khaosod English.
