Traffic conditions in Brno have seen a slight improvement following the closure of the Pisárecký Tunnel and the Hlinky Tunnel. These closures had previously complicated traffic flow throughout the city. New measures implemented include adjustments to traffic signage, such as designating lanes specifically for public transport (MHD) and eliminating longitudinal parking spaces. Police officials discussed and coordinated these changes with the Road and Motorway Directorate (Ředitelství silnic a dálnic) and the city's transport company. As a result, lengthy traffic queues observed during Monday morning rush hour on the detour route via Pisárecká Street have reportedly subsided. The implemented changes are aimed at mitigating the impact of the tunnel closures on daily commutes.
