A new poll conducted by AKO for JOJ 24 indicates a tightening race for the position of mayor in Bratislava. Matúš Vallo currently holds a seven-percentage-point lead over his challenger, Minister of Transport Jozef Ráž, ahead of Saturday’s municipal elections. The poll results were released during the final debate between the two leading candidates. This represents a narrowing of Vallo’s previous advantage. The election is expected to be Vallo’s closest contest yet for the mayorship of the capital city. Further details of the poll were not provided in the initial report. Saturday’s vote will determine the next leader of Bratislava.
