Ilie Bolojan announced on Tuesday, during a plenary session of Parliament, that the PNL will vote in favor of investing the Government led by Luca Niculescu, despite the liberals not being part of the new Executive. He characterized the party’s decision as “a vote of necessity” to end the political crisis, while leveling criticism at the PSD. Bolojan accused the PSD of triggering the fall of the previous government without offering viable solutions. He stated he has “low expectations” for the new Cabinet and criticized the activity of several proposed ministers. Bolojan further claimed the PSD blocked state reform to maintain control “like a fiefdom,” alleging those involved evade responsibility. This vote aims to resolve the current political instability in Romania.
