Candidates who were excluded from the 45th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) gazette held a protest demonstration today, Monday, from 12 PM to 6 PM. The demonstration took place in front of the Raju Bhaskorjo (sculpture) at Dhaka University. The protestors are demanding appointments through a supplementary gazette to address their grievances. They believe they were unfairly left out of the original appointment list. This protest highlights ongoing concerns regarding the transparency and fairness of the BCS recruitment process in Bangladesh. The “gazette-bancito” (gazette-deprived) candidates continued their demands for inclusion and fair consideration. Organizers stated this is one of many planned demonstrations if their demands are not met.
