Two American World War II veterans, Andrew Bostinto and Kenneth Johnson, both 101 years old, recently returned to Czechoslovakia after more than 81 years. The pair served together in the 26th Infantry Regiment, fighting on the Western Front during the war. Their journey culminated in a visit to Prague, where they paid tribute to fallen paratroopers at the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius. Before this poignant ceremony, the veterans had previously stopped in the village of Pěkná in the Šumava region. Both men played a role in the liberation of Czechoslovakia from Nazi control. This visit marked their first return to the country since the end of the war, offering a powerful moment of remembrance and gratitude.
