A growing number of young Vietnamese are opting for a lifestyle focused on “living sufficiently,” prioritizing well-being over excessive wealth accumulation. This approach centers on performing well at work, earning enough to meet needs, and dedicating time to family, friends, and health. Unlike traditional notions of success, these young individuals don't equate it solely with high income or relentless work hours. They are actively choosing a balanced existence, rejecting the pressure to constantly strive for more money. This shift reflects changing values among Vietnamese millennials and Gen Z. The focus is on finding contentment and fulfillment outside of purely financial gains, signaling a redefinition of success in modern Vietnamese society. This trend suggests a desire for a more sustainable and personally enriching lifestyle.
