Yaoundé Central Hospital (HCY) unveiled its institutional magazine, "Bulletin Santé Messa," on August 12, 2026, alongside the launch of its 2025-2027 strategic plan. This plan aims to transform the 95-year-old hospital into a leading example of accessible, high-quality healthcare in Cameroon and boost the nation’s health system resilience. The "Bulletin Santé Messa" is intended to be more than a simple information source; it will serve as a tool for accountability, education, and internal cohesion. The magazine will detail ongoing projects, explain strategic decisions, and highlight the expertise of HCY staff. The core of this initiative is the participatory developed and government-approved strategic plan, which outlines a clear path to achieve the “showcase hospital” vision. Ultimately, the hospital seeks to initiate public debate on key healthcare challenges and disseminate best practices to other medical facilities.
