Budget airline Wizz Air will begin operating flights between Prague and Poprad, Slovakia, in October. The new route significantly reduces travel time between the two destinations, from approximately seven hours by land transport to just 60 minutes by air. Poprad serves as a gateway to the High Tatras mountain range, a popular tourist destination. This service aims to boost tourism to the Tatras and provide a faster travel option for both leisure and business travelers. Wizz Air did not disclose pricing details or the frequency of flights in its initial announcement. The route represents an expansion of Wizz Air’s network and a commitment to connecting Central European cities. This new connection is expected to be popular with Czechs seeking outdoor activities in the Tatras.
