This figure includes 70 million children between the ages of five and nine, and a further 100 million adolescents. The new guidelines aim to provide comprehensive recommendations for healthcare professionals and policymakers to address this escalating global health crisis. WHO stresses the importance of a holistic approach considering biological, psychological, and social factors contributing to childhood obesity. These guidelines seek to improve prevention and treatment strategies across the globe, prioritizing the well-being of future generations.
