The World Health Organization (WHO) is urging Tanzanians to prioritize peace and security, emphasizing its crucial link to healthcare access. Professor Mohamed Janabi, WHO Regional Director for Africa, warned that conflict directly impedes the delivery of essential services like medicines, vaccines, and qualified health workers to vulnerable communities. He made these remarks at the Fourth Benjamin William Mkapa Legacy Forum in Dar es Salaam. Janabi highlighted that without a stable and secure environment, even the most robust healthcare systems struggle to function effectively.
