Mongolia’s meteorological agency has issued a warning for wet snow expected to fall across western parts of Bayan-Ölgii and northern districts of Dornod provinces overnight between the 8th and 9th of this month, with accumulations of 0.0-3.0mm. On October 9th, some parts of Bayan-Ölgii, as well as Uvs and western districts of Khovd, are predicted to receive 0.0-8.0mm of rain, wet snow and snow. Snowstorms are expected in the Altai Mountains. The Altai mountain range and foothills of Arts Bogd will experience strong winds of 15-17 meters per second, gusting up to 20 meters per second in some areas, resulting in dust storms. Travelers in these regions should exercise caution due to reduced visibility and hazardous conditions.
