The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has approved a massive pipeline project intended to transport natural gas along the Atlantic coast of Africa. The pipeline will stretch approximately 6,000 to 6,800 kilometers, connecting Nigeria to Morocco and serving thirteen additional coastal nations. This ambitious infrastructure project aims to boost energy access and regional economic integration. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2028, with a phased commissioning process expected to conclude around 2031.
