An investigation has been launched into a Warsaw hospital following reports of appalling conditions in its morgue. According to Onet, bodies of deceased patients were left in the hospital’s prosectorium for extended periods, resulting in advanced decomposition. The investigation began in July after allegations surfaced that grieving families were pressured to utilize a specific private funeral home. This same funeral home was responsible for the storage of the corpses within the prosectorium. The situation raises serious concerns about the respectful handling of the deceased and potential unethical practices targeting vulnerable families. Authorities are now examining the link between the funeral home's services and the prolonged storage of bodies. This scandal highlights a potential systemic failure in the hospital’s post-mortem procedures.
