Vihiga County has released its mid-term review of its 2023-2027 County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP), indicating substantial progress towards its objectives. Governor Wilber Ottichilo announced the report details achievements in governance, healthcare, agriculture, water, infrastructure, and economic development. The review aims to inform residents about the county’s advancements during the first half of the plan’s implementation. Officials report an 80 percent implementation rate of the targeted goals. The launch event took place in Mbale, where the Governor emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in development initiatives. The CIDP is designed to guide Vihiga County’s development priorities over the five-year period.
