Vietnamese National Assembly deputies have proposed a three-year corporate income tax exemption for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The exemption would begin from the first year the business generates taxable income. However, the benefit would be capped at a maximum of five years from the initial business registration certificate issuance date. This proposal aims to support the growth of SMEs in Vietnam and encourage economic development. The deputies believe this tax relief will provide crucial financial breathing room for new and developing businesses. The measure is currently under consideration by the National Assembly. This initiative seeks to foster a more supportive environment for entrepreneurs in Vietnam.
