Natural gas transmission system operators convened in Athens last week and agreed to establish a working group focused on the Vertical Corridor project. This initiative aims to assess and enhance the interconnection capacity of gas systems across Southeastern Europe. A key goal is to improve the commercial viability of the Vertical Corridor, a crucial energy route. Romania participated in the discussions regarding the project’s development. The group will further evaluate the existing framework and identify opportunities for optimization. This collaboration highlights a commitment to strengthening regional energy infrastructure and security. The project, as reported by skay.gr, promises increased gas flow and market opportunities within the region.
