The Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB) in Venezuela projects an economic growth of 6.5% for the country, despite ongoing inflation. However, the report cautions that this recovery remains fragile and faces significant risks. These risks include a potential resurgence of high inflation rates and the impact of the seismic events that occurred in June. Additionally, the report highlights that poverty continues to affect seven out of ten households across Venezuela. The forecast, published by EL NACIONAL, suggests cautious optimism tempered by substantial challenges to sustained economic improvement. Despite these obstacles, UCAB anticipates positive, albeit vulnerable, economic expansion.
