A month after devastating earthquakes struck La Guaira, Venezuela, the local surf community gathered to commemorate those lost. On August 2nd, dozens of surfers, instructors, friends, and family members convened at Surf Beach for a moving tribute. They performed a traditional “paddle-out” ceremony, a deeply respected ritual within surf culture. Surfers paddled their boards into the ocean, forming a circle as a symbol of remembrance and respect. This was followed by a minute of silence dedicated to the victims of the tragedy. The event served as a poignant expression of grief and solidarity within the coastal community of La Guaira. Family members participated, adding a deeply personal element to the solemn occasion.
