A significant mural, “The Ascension,” created by Francisco Narváez in 1950, has been successfully restored at the chapel of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV). The artwork is located within the Institute of Anatomopathological Heritage. A team of specialists undertook the restoration process, carefully bringing the mural back to its original colors and condition. The project focused on conserving this important piece of Venezuelan cultural heritage. The restoration ensures the preservation of Narváez’s work for future generations. Details of the restoration were recently published by EL NACIONAL. The mural’s recovery highlights ongoing efforts to protect Venezuela’s artistic legacy.
