Police have arrested a man in Venlo suspected of violently assaulting two women in Utrecht last week. The attacks occurred late Thursday into early Friday morning on Potgieterstraat and Leidseveer, near the central train station. Both women were forcibly pulled from their bicycles and subjected to severe physical abuse, including the use of a neck hold. Authorities released surveillance footage of the suspect, which led to numerous tips from the public. Investigators believe the victims were randomly targeted. Police are still seeking additional information or footage related to the incidents and are urging anyone with relevant details to come forward. The suspect’s identity has not been released pending further investigation.
