An expedition from Diponegoro University (Undip) has been providing health education to residents in Tempirai Selatan, Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. The team, known as Ekspedisi Patriot Undip, discovered that transmigran residents are facing significant challenges accessing clean water. Simultaneously, effective waste management is lacking in the Tempirai Selatan area, impacting the community’s wellbeing. These issues particularly affect children in the region. The Undip team is focused on delivering education related to environmental health to address these concerns. Their "blusukan" – an immersive, community-level approach – aims to improve living conditions for the transmigran population in PALI Regency, South Sumatra. The expedition seeks to create sustainable solutions for clean water access and sanitation within the transmigration settlement.
