Ulaanbaatar’s mayor, B.Purevdagva, has pledged to make all city projects funded by taxpayer money publicly accessible. A new platform will launch on ulaanbaatar.mn on June 25th to provide this information. The platform will detail the progress of each project, feasibility studies, winning bidders from tenders, implementation status, costs, and financial transactions. Mayor Purevdagva emphasized that the city’s budget is comprised of taxpayer funds, justifying the need for transparency. Currently, the website already provides open access to the city’s approved budget and financial disclosures. This initiative aims to increase accountability and public trust in how public funds are utilized within the capital city.
