A 5.9-kilometer road expansion project on Erchim Huchin Street in Ulaanbaatar’s Bayangol district is on track for completion before September 1st. The project upgrades the road from a two-lane, 7-meter width to a four-lane, 14-meter width. As of today, construction is 81% complete, with the foundational work between Khosog Trade intersection and Sonsgolon Road already finished. Paving is scheduled to be finalized before September 1st, while associated work on heating networks will conclude by July 1st and pedestrian walkways by July 15th. Lighting installation is 80% complete, and pedestrian walkway construction is 50% done. Simultaneously, a separate 798-meter new road project in Sukhbaatar district, along Altai Street to Galdan Boshigt Street, is 22% complete, with related utility work progressing. The Ulaanbaatar City Development Department reports that “Infrastructure Consult” LLC is undertaking the road construction.
